Roy Delaine Anderson

Roy Delaine Anderson. Age 80, passed away March 23, 2007 at the Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. A funeral service will be held March 28, 2007 at 1:00pm in the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home with burial following in the Grandview Cemetery. Roy was born June 2, 1926 to Luther and Alice Anderson in Bismark, North Dakota. They moved their family to Bonners Ferry in1933 when Roy was only seven years old. He attended elementary school and high school in Boundary County. He joined the military just out of high school, from 1946 to 1948, when he was honorably discharged. He married Crystal Marie Cowell on March 16, 1952. They had two children, Lorrie Denice Anderson and Daryle Roy Anderson. Roy had a passion for the woods. He was a logger until he retired in 1988. He enjoyed all aspects of the outdoors; including, getting firewood, working in his yard, gardening, especially his flowers, roses were his favorite. He was a very simple man and loved life. Roy is survived by his wife, Crystal, children, Lorrie and Daryle, brother, Lowell; one sister, Lois; five granddaughters, Melanie, Renai, Heather, Melissa and Jamie and seven great-grandchildren. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Alice Anderson and brother, Harvey Anderson
