Carol Jean Sayre (70) passed away on March 11, 2011 at her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 11:00 am at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home Chapel. She was born Dec 25, 1940 in Newark, NJ. Her parents were James and Edna (Dusenbury) Sayre. Carol moved with her mother and brother Larry to Montana in the early 1950's. They lived in Missoula where Carol and her brother attended public schools. Upon graduation from high school, Carol was married for a few years. She had no children. Following divorce, Carol lived in San Francisco, CA for several years. She enjoyed adventure and travel very much and visited Sweden and Greece among other places. In her later years, Carol lived briefly in Montana and Washington then moved to Bonners Ferry, ID in about 2001. She enjoyed helping others by driving them to appointments, helping with their shopping, and taking care of their animals while they were away. She had good friends in town including many at the local Senior Center. Carol will be missed by her good friends in Bonners Ferry. Carol will be especially missed by her cousin Dorothy Grapensteter of Trego, MT. whom she visited in the summer time. Together they enjoyed long walks in the fresh air and sitting on the beach at Dickey Lake . Carol looked forward to sleeping in the camper for a couple nights before returning home. Other survivors include her Uncle Robert Dusenbury and Aunt Virginia of Anacortes, WA as well as her cousins Paul Dusenbury of San Antonio, TX and Michael Dusenbury of Billings, MT.
