Elizabeth Cogley

Elizabeth Cogley, age 96, passed away April 11, 2011 in the Extended Care Facility of Boundary Community Hospital. She requested there be no services and wanted her ashes dispersed with her husband’s where they first met in 1940. Elizabeth was born September 11, 1914, in Great Bend, Kansas to Jesse and Amy Johnson. The family moved to Spokane in 1924. On February 21, 1942, she married Verne Cogley and they were married 54 years until his death in 1996. Over the years they lived in Pullman, WA; Spokane; Sedona, AZ; and again in Pullman and Spokane. Elizabeth lived in Hayden, ID for 6 years and moved to Bonners Ferry in 2010. Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Christine and husband R.D. White of Hayden, Janis and husband Gary Kerby of Moyie Springs, three grandchildren, Brian Olson and Erik Olson of Spokane, Amy Ulappa and husband Shannon Johnson of Caldwell, ID, one brother Ralph and wife Carol Johnson of Kennewick, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
