Gladys June Thompson

Gladys June Thompson (92) passed away on June 24, 2011 at the Boundary County Nursing home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home with interment following in the Grandview Cemetery. Gladys was born on June 16, 1919 in Norma, North Dakota to Julius and Milly (Nelson) Hansen. She attended schools in Norma and on November 1, 1941 she married Roy Thompson, they continued to live in North Dakota farming and raising their children. They moved to Moyie Springs, Idaho in 1954 where she continued to raise her five children. In her later years she enjoyed her home and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling around the country seeing different places, baking cookies and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982, oldest son Ken in 2009 and daughter Cleo in 2010. Gladys is survived by her son Curt Thompson and wife JoAnn of Ball, LA; daughters: Polly Jones of Post Falls, ID; Roxanne Johnson and husband Dave of Bonners Ferry, ID; Sister Harriet Dodge and husband Bud of North Dakota; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
