She married Sydney Aaron Stevens, January 31, 1956. Lou's interests included sewing, puzzles and crafts, but most of all she loved working with her husband in what he called "junking" (or recycling). She became mother to 7 children and has been fondly called "Momma Bear" for many years. She is survived by her husband Syd of 55 years, her 7 children, Sydney and his wife Nancie who reside in Sterling Colorado, Clint and his wife Beverly in Pasco Washington, Loree and her husband Thoi in San Diego California, Vern and his wife Freeda in Fairfield Washington, Jolena and her husband Robert in Spokane Washington, David and his wife Wanda in Douglas Wyoming, Charlotte and her husband Kevin in Lake Havasu City Arizona, and Jennifer and her husband Randy in Bonners Ferry Idaho. Lou has 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings; a sister Francie Hanson and a brother Ray Spencer and his wife Joan. Lou became one of Jehovah's Witnesses at the age of 20 in 1961. She has been a faithful witness for Jehovah for 50 years. She has an assured hope of the resurrection in Paradise Earth. Although her illness has been a long struggle, she has always been a pleasure to be around. Special thanks go to her hospice nurses, Trish, Jan and Nancy; also to Doug and Barb Ladely. The nurses at Extended Care have also been so helpful.
