Etta Marie Byrne

Etta Marie (Patterson) Byrne.was born on January 20, l909, in Lynch, Nebraska to George H. and Emma (Bartels) Patterson. She passed away, on June 18, 2007, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. She attended schools in Nebraska and South Dakota and graduated from high school at Colome, SD. in 1927. She was a telephone operator in Nebraska, Idaho and Washington for approximately 35 years until she retired in 1971 and moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho. She met Edwin Byrne in Garfield, WA and they were married on March 15, 1941, in Moscow, Idaho. Ed died on March 26,1983. Etta will be buried beside Ed in the Paradise Valley Cemetery on June 21, 2007 with a graveside service. Etta is survived by two sisters, Myra, (Babe) Troyer and Betty Marcy, both of Bonners Ferry, Idao. Also surviving are numorius nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 7 sisters; Elsie Hysel, Jessie Dixson, Goldie Kuhns, Mabel Scholl, Letha Schroeder, Naomi Shurtlieff and Cora Sinclair; and also 6 brothers; Welchie, Oscar, Ivan, Elwyn, Charles and Marlow.
