Eugene Edward Saunders

Eugene Edward Saunders (60) passed away on June 26, 2007 at the Lacrosse Health and Rehabilitation Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho after an extended illness. Services will be held on August 4, 2007 at 1:00pm at the Eagles in Bonners Ferry, Idaho with internment in the Grandview Cemetery. Eugene was born on November 21, 1946 in Ukiah, CA to Charles and Faye (Hull) Saunders. He received his education in California and in 1966 moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He served in the US Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1970. Upon returning to Bonners Ferry he worked on several area farms and has worked for Amoth Farms for many years. On September 29, 2000 he married Nina Funderburg in Sandpoint, Idaho. Gene was a Member of the Eagles and enjoyed fishing and hunting throughout his life. Survivors include his wife Nina Saunders, mother Faye Saunders, brothers Time and Charles Saunders and Sisters Linda Grove and Cheryl Rowe.
