Eunice B. Johnstone of Gooding, Idaho and formerly of Bonners Ferry, Idaho passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007. She was born October 8, 1921 in Jerome, Idaho to Elias Vincent and Eunice Cooke. Eunice attended school in Jerome graduating with the Class of 1939. Following graduation she attended the Boise Business College and then worked at the First Security Bank in Jerome until her marriage to Everett "Bud" Johnstone in 1946. They farmed north of Jerome until 1954 when they moved to the Highland Flats near Naples, Idaho where they had purchased a dairy farm. There they raised their four children and enjoyed the mountains, trees and wildlife. Eunice was a member of PEO Chapter AP, the Trinity Lutheran Church, was on the Boundary County Library Board for many years, Helping Hands, and several other organizations. She also enjoyed gardening, especially her roses, as well as painting, woodworking, sewing, reading, etc. She also had many friends who she always enjoyed visiting with. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett "Bud" Johnstone; a sister, Virginia Tyler; a brother, Vincent Cooke; and a granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Miller. She is survived by her four children, Bruce (Susan) Johnstone of Boise, Eric (Anita) Johnstone of Sammamish, WA., Diane (Gus) Miller of Gooding, ID and Carol (Andy) Shubin of Vancouver, WA., one sister, Joyce Evans of Missoula, MT. and eight grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on July 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contribution may be made to the Boundary County Library, 6370 Kootnei, Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805, or a charity of your choice
