Nell Lipp

Nell Lipp, 99, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 11, 2007, in the Bonners Ferry United Methodist Church. Pastor James Murphy will officiate with interment following in the Grandview Cemetery. Nell was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on Feb. 20, 1908 the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Davis. She graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1928 and operated the switchboard for the local Telephone Company. She married Fred Lipp on June 12, 1929 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and they celebrated their 70th anniversary on June 12, 1929. Fred passed away in 1999. She and her husband owned the Fred Lipp Company. They operated the sand and gravel company and also the pre-mix company. Nell enjoyed the outdoors, going trailriding on her horses, picking huckleberries, hunting, and fishing. She also liked to sew and garden for her family. She was a member of the Bonners Ferry United Methodist Church, OES Martha Chapter #34, and the PEO. She is survived by 2 daughters Dorothy L Rosser of Bellingham, WA; Kay R Bergmann of San Francisco, CA; 3 grandchildren Susan Johnson of Sandpoint, ID; Diane Flynn of Spokane, WA; and Gary Plumlee of Richland, WA; 8 great grandchildren Cory, Jennifer, and Sarah Johnson; Allison and Kathleen Flynn; Jonathan Williams; Garrett and Ashley Plumlee. Her parents, her husband, 2 sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
