Bobby Leigh Bradley (69) passed away on March 25, 2012 at the Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho at 2:00pm. Bobby Leigh Bradley was the youngest son of Marion H. and Eunice M. Bradley. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ellen N. Schoenwald of Nampa, Idaho and Neva Jean Mills of Bonners Ferry, as well as two brothers, Claude O. Bradley of Spokane and Lawrence R. Bradley of Kirkland, Washington. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and their respective families. Bob graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1961. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 through 1968. Trained as a jet engine mechanic, he served as Plane Captain for the Navy’s F-4B Phantom fighter jet. He served multiple deployments in the Vietnam combat theater with Navy fighter squadron VF-151, aboard the USS Coral Sea and the USS Constellation. After leaving the Navy in 1968 he spent approximately 15 years in the Boise/Nampa area where he worked as an electrical mechanic and automotive mechanic for local businesses. When his parents became ill, Bob returned to Bonners Ferry. He commuted to Honeywell’s metal processing company in Spokane Valley daily for more than twenty years, while looking after both parents. At Honeywell, Bob was responsible for milling the metal processing equipment which produced exotic metals for use in electronics worldwide. Bob retired from Honeywell on his 62nd birthday. Until his illness forced him to curb his activities, he enjoyed hunting, shooting and “cruising around” in his jeep. He was a private person with a big heart. Whenever anyone in the family needed help, Bob was right there to help out. We will miss him. Family and friends are invited to sign Bobby’s book at www.bonnersferryfuneralhome.com Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.
