Henry Straub (92) passed away on September 26, 2007 at his home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. A time of remembrance will be held on Monday October 1, 2007 at 2:00pm at Henry’s home at 7136 Cedar Street in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Private internment will be in the Grandview Cemetery. Henry was born on April 11, 1915 in Endicott, Washington to Henry and Eliza Katherine (Heintz) Straub who were immigrants by boat from Straub, Russia. He moved as a child with his parents to St. Maries, Idaho where he received his education graduating from St. Maries High School. He then attended the University of Idaho. Henry served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and was stationed as a Bombardier in England. After his discharge he operated Straub and Sons in St. Maries. Through out his life he worked as a salesman and Real Estate Agent. He married Adaline Brown on June 25, 1949 in St. Maries, Idaho He moved to California in 1957 and moved to Lake Arrowhead, CA in 1968 and founded Straub’s Arrowhead Lake Real Estate. In 1995 he retired to Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He was the Beloved husband of Adaline Straub and loving father of son Jason Straub and daughter Carla Box. Survivors include Sisters Sarah Mason of St. Maries, Idaho; Clara Erickson and husband Eugene of Wenatchee, WA; son Jason Straub and Christine of Orange, CA; daughter Carla Box and husband Denny of Crestline, CA.; and grandson Tyler Straub of Tracy, CA. Henry was preceded in death by his brother Victor Straub; sisters Leah Frame, Rachel Knopp; Martha Mercer and Joyce Straub.
