Dale Donald Harrington went home to the Lord on June 29th, 2012. He passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his wife, children, and many loved ones. Services will be held at the Crossroads Chapel at 11 o’clock am on July 6th, 2012, with burial following at Moravia cemetery. Memorials may be sent in care of the family at P.O. Box 1185, Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He was born on July 9th, 1933, to Charles and Hazel Harrington. He joined 3 older brothers, Norman, Wayne and Jerry. Shortly after came his brother Charles. Dale was born and raised in Moravia, Idaho. In 1952, he joined the Army and was stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. While on leave from the Army, he returned to Idaho where he married Bonita Royer, and she joined him in Kentucky. He served 4 years before being honorably discharged in 1956. Together they had 3 children, Dale Jr., Vicki and Barbara, and they later divorced. He worked mainly in the timber industry as a sawyer, skidder and CAT operator with his brother Jerry. On April 11, 1976, he married Valerie Estabrooks, and they had a son, Nathan, in 1978. He gained 4 stepchildren, as well. Dale and Valerie shared 36 memorable years together. Dale was a very family orientated man. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and huckleberry picking. He found peace in the word of the Lord and working in his garden. Dale and Val attended the Crossroads Chapel. Dale was preceded in death by his brother Charles, his father, his mother, his brother Jerry, and stepson Roddy Torrence. He is survived by his wife Valerie of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; brothers Norman (Beryl) Harrington of Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, and Wayne (Dorothy) Harrington of Monmouth, Oregon; sons Dale Harrington Jr. of Moravia, Idaho, and Nathan Harrington of Moyie Springs, Idaho; daughters Vicki (Charles) Dickinson and Barbara (Mike) Rearden of Post Falls, Idaho; stepsons Warren Torrence of Spokane, Washington, and Evan Torrence of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and stepdaughter Nyla (Larry) Kelley of Cedar Creek, Texas.
