Edna Marie (Choate) Nash (74), passed away at her home in Bonners Ferry on December 11, 2007. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. in the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home Chapel with internment in the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Edna was born on June 1, 1933 to Albert Franklin and Clara Ann (Grayham) Choate in Gamaliel, Arkansas. She moved with her family to Springfield, Missouri where she graduated from High School in 1950. She met James W. Nash her childhood sweetheart and on June 3, 1950 they were married in Springfield. They found their way to Bonners Ferry, Idaho where they resided for several years before returning to Springfield in the Late 1950’s. In 1973 they returned to Bonners Ferry where Edna worked as a clerk for Safeway until retiring in 1990. Edna loved her grandchildren and enjoyed the time she spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband James, parents, Albert and Clara Choate; Brother Joe Bill Bentley; grandson Michael; and brother in law Gene Thomas.
Edna is survived by her daughters Linda Sue Nash of Vero Beach, FL, Sherry Lockman and husband Robert of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; 2 grandsons: Shane Rucker and wife Jessica of Sandpoint, Idaho and Ethan Lockman of Bonners Ferry; granddaughter Courtney Jones and husband David of Othello, WA; two great-granddaughters: Samira Lynn Rucker and Saylor Zen Jones; two sisters Norma Thomas of Republic, MO and Dallas Lane and husband Eddie of Granbury, TX; numerous nieces and nephews including a nephew J.R. Deckard who she was very close to.
