Glenn Albert King, (91) passed away on October 25, 2012 at the Boundary County Nursing home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 4:00pm at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Interment was in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Glenn was born on June 18, 1921 in Jamesport, Missouri to Albert Maywood and Sarah Estelle (Hess) King. He moved with his family to Texas where he graduated high school. After graduation he moved to California where he went to work as a sheet metal worker.
On September 2, 1942 he married Betty Lee Hobbs in Bellflower, CA. Glenn entered the US Army and served from September 5, 1942 until his discharge in April of 1945.
Glen returned home and worked for the Green Brothers as a sheet metal worker. He continued working as a sheet metal worked until his retirement.
Glenn and Betty moved to Bonners ferry, Idaho in 1987 where he has resided until his death.
Throughout his life Glenn was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time working in his garden and being at home in North Idaho.
He is survived by his wife Betty King of Bonners Ferry, Idaho and daughter Joanne Hellawell of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
