John Henry Corcoran

John Henry Corcoran passed away February 16, 2008 in the Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, ID. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry. Family and friends are invited to a potluck dinner at the Nazarene Church following the graveside service. John Henry Corcoran was born in Woodland, California to John Corcoran of Ireland and Nora (McGregor) Corcoran of Butte County, California. He was the eldest of 12 children. Henry attended the Pleasent Prairie, a one room school house. He began his life of working hard at age six when he started driving tractor to help his father on the family farm. He was a rancher, truck driver, and mechanic. In 1942 he obtained his pilots license then joined the Civil Air Patrol. On August 13, 1970, Henry was baptized to show his love for his savior. He lived the remainder of his life serving his Lord extending love and kindness to all he met. He greeted church members every Sunday with a heart-felt, “Let God Bless You.” He married Arthurene (Johnson) Corcoran on May 21, 1961. Henry loved and adored his beautiful wife for 47 years. He is survived by his wife Arthurene Corcoran; brothers and sisters: Mary Culley of Woodland, CA, Chuck (Grace) Corcoran of Woodland, CA, Margaret (Bill) Fletcher of Woodland, CA, Helen (Stan) Roberts of Crescent City, CA, Ann (Francis) Smith of Fort Wayne, IN, Kathy Smith of Quebec, Canada, Dan (Jan) Corcoran of Woodland, CA; children: Tom (Colleen) Corcoran of Paradise, CA, Susan Corcoran of Anderson, NV, Arthur (Sue) Corcoran of Post Falls, ID, Beverly Krichbaum of Moyie Springs, ID, and Wanda (David) Brust of Post Falls, ID. He is also survived by Grandchildren: Robert Gladney of Cocolalla, ID, Richard Krichbaum of Moscow, ID, Jason Corcoran, Christopher Corcoran, Cameron Corcoran, Meghan Corcoran, Danielle Brust all of Post Falls, ID, Bryan Krichbaum of Coeur d’Alene, ID and Carman Krichbaum of Moyie Springs, ID and numerous great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nora Corcoran and three brothers, Joseph, James and Thomas Corcoran.
