George Alfred Turner (83) passed away on May 30, 2008 at his home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Graveside services will be held on June 14, 2008 at 2:00pm at the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry with burial to follow.
George was born on January 25, 1925 in Los Angles, California to Toy Price and Christina K. (Duprea) Turner. He received his education in California. During World War II he joined the US Navy and was stationed in Farragut, Idaho and Oklahoma. After his discharge he Married Marjorie Hamilton on May 25, 1944. Throughout his life George worked in Oil and Gas Fields, mostly in California. In 2000 he retired and moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Throughout his life George was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed bird hunting, fishing skeet shooting and grew worms.
Survivors include his loving wife and friend of 64 years, Marjorie Mae; two daughters Joni Joseph and Linda Sawyer; four grandchildren Mike Sean and wife Sunshine, Heather Lynn Frankson and Eric Frankson and wife Cyndi, Joshua Joseph,; two great grandchildren Maty and Mariah Joseph. He will always be remembered for his loving nature.
