Sadie Winona Butcher

Sadie Winona Winger Butcher (93) passed away on June 14, 2008 at her home near Moyie Springs. Idaho. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma, CA with internment following. Winona was born on May 30, 1915 in Hyrum, Utah. As a child she was raised in Arco, Idaho. Winona loved riding horses, playing basketball and she made many records in track. She was the youngest of 4 brothers and four sisters. Winona met the love of her life, Leland Butcher, they were married in Wyoming. They had two sons and two daughters, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Both Winona and Leland leave behind a rich legacy and heritage. Winona loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. She served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a MIA President and visiting teacher. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grand children. She will be greatly missed.
