Dennis Lee Amoth (78) passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Mountain View Mennonite Church near Bonners Ferry, Idaho with Internment following in the Mountain View Mennonite Cemetery.
Lee was born on March 28, 1930 to Walter and Susie Amoth in Langdon, North Dakota. In 1941 he moved with his family to Bonners Ferry, Idaho where he spent most of his life. As a youth he had a new birth experience and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite at Bonners Ferry. He was joined in marriage to Sadie Wedel on May 16, 1954 at Livingston, California. They enjoyed 54 years together and to this union four children were born. He had various occupations until 1969 when he began working for the City of Bonners Ferry continuing there for nearly 25 years. His outgoing personality won him many friends.
Survivors include his wife Sadie, children: Janine (Jake) Peachey, Scott City, Kansas; Doug (Serena) Amoth, Gentry, Arkansas; Jerry (Donna) Amoth , Mora, Missouri; Nadine (Grant) Dirks, Bonners Ferry, Idaho; 15 Grandchildren 1 great-grandchild. Also surviving are three brothers: Don, Wayne, and Les and three sisters Melvina Amoth, Frances Koehn, and Fern Dirks . He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brother Roland “Tom” and infant brother Lawrence
