Jan A. Estep passed away on June 24, 2008 at the Selkirk View Home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Jan was born on August 7, 1924 in Winchester, Virginia. He proudly served as a Merchant Marine during World War II. Following his military service, he enjoyed careers in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Riverside California. He relocated to Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1970 and worked for the Boundary County Assessors Office and the downtown Post Office until his retirement in 1987.
Jan’s love of Big Band music, movies and golf gave him many hours of joy. He was a gifted artist and was able to capture the beauty of nature in his many paintings.
He is survived by his wife, Norma, Sons Jan William Kremenske and Mark Estep, daughter Jill Hammond, sister Katie Hooper, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and many close friends.
A private memorial has been held. Public services will be announced at a later time.
