Darlene Georgene Slott passed away on July 17, 2008 at the Boundary Community Hosital in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Price Helton Funeral Chapel in Auburn,WA. Visitation will be on Thursday 9 to 8 PM at Price Helton Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Darlene was born in Dodge, North Dakota on March 26, 1932 and died in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on July 17, 2008. She went peacefully after battling cancer for many months. In 1944 she moved to Auburn, WA from Beulah, North Dakota with her parents George and Olga Johnson and her 5 siblings. In 1954 she married Wilbert Gordon Slott and raised their 4 daughters in Auburn. Darlene was a home maker, Girl Scout Leader and a Caregiver with her gentle spirit. She traveled the U.S. visiting relatives and loved her trips abroad to Europe and Australia. She had a passion for the nickel slot machines. In 2007 she bought a home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho where she lived out her final days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Slott in 1990. She leaves behind 4 daughters, Avis Adams ( Michael) Auburn,WA, Brenda Hauge ( Philip) University Place,WA, Connie Robertson, St Maries, Idaho and Pam Slott ( Dan East) Orient,WA., 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Evelyn Eby in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Her resting place will be at her husbands side at Evergreen Cemetery in Enumclaw,WA. Arrangements under the direction of Price-Helton Funeral Home in Auburn, WA.
