Carl William Becker

Carl William Becker (79) passed away at his home near Moyie Springs, Idaho on October 13, 2008. Services to be announced at a later time. Carl married Arlysse Kelley on October 13, 1950 in Northome, MN. Carl has been a resident of Boundary County since 1955. He and his wife Arlysse raised two children, both graduated high school in the early 1970’s, Bill passed away on October 29, 2007 and Linda has returned to the county after 34 years living in Colorado Springs, CO. Carl worked in the timber industry until 1991 when he retired from WI. He enjoyed working with his hands, creating wind chimes and whirly gigs. He enjoyed fishing, but smoking the fish was his great talent. Carl served in the US Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Arlysse of Moyie Springs, ID; daughter Linda Becker of Moyie Springs, ID; brother Leonard Becker of Wisconsin; sister Erma Johnson, of Wisconsin; two grandchildren Cassandria Schleif and husband Alan; Jason Hendricks and wife Rosie; and six great-grandchildren Nicholas, Zachary, Ronin, Lorenzo, Rio, and Tatiana. He was preceded in death by his son Bill; two brothers Lorenz and Hugo and sister Wilhelmina.
