Roy Martin Dunning

Roy Martin Dunning, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the Boundary Community Hospital in Bonner’s Ferry, Idaho after a long and full life. He leaves his wife of 68 years, Shirley Dunning; his son, Dan Dunning; 5 grandchildren; numerous great grand children and many close friends. Born on January 18, 1922 , the son of Pearl Ivy Dunning. He was a lifelong resident of Boundary County, Idaho. Roy married Shirley on September 6, 1942. He then enlisted in the Army and served in World War II in the South Pacific as an engineer. His life skills included logging, painting and home building. In his retirement years he enjoyed gardening spending time with his family and his close friends.
