Robert “Big Bad Bob” Allen Nystrom, 84, passed away Saturday, May 2,
2009, at Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls withloving family by
his side.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Trinity
Lutheran Church in Bonners Ferry with interment in Grandview Cemetery.
Bob was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Crosby, N.D., to Fred and Eva Nystrom.
The family moved to Bonners Ferry in 1937.
Bob was a World War II veteran and active member of the American
Legion.
Bob fell in love and married the former Veryl Morrison on Dec. 29,
1967, in Bonners Ferry. They enjoyed 42 years of married life.
Bob enjoyed traveling, spending a month in Greece, a winter in Arizona
and taking month-long road trips, visiting sites and family in
Louisiana and South Carolonia.
Bob loved to garden, leaving the weeding to Veryl. Bob also liked
watching and feeding the birds and squirrels that lived in their
backyard.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Fred, and a
stepson Ricky.
Survivors include his wife of Boise, stepdaughters Cheryl and her
husband Travis Brock of Colfax, Wash., and Lynne ad David Gray of
Kalispell; stepsons Tom Beauclair of Wahsington, D.C., and Mike
Billingsley and his wife, Sue of Troy, Mont.; 15 grandchildren; and
six great-grandchildren.
