Harold Lee Fairchild

Harold Lee Fairchild passed away at his home near Bonners Ferry on May 7, 2009. Services will be announced. Harold "Hal" Lee Fairchild, 58, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on his 58th birthday. Hal was born in Grand Coulee, Washington on May 7, 1951 to Harold and Loretta Fairchild and eventually moved to Bonners Ferry in 1971 after spending time in different parts of Washington and Florida. During his battle with cancer he continued to have a positive attitude and always kept his sense of humor. With Hal, you always knew where you stood and he wasn't afraid to tell you what he thought. Growing up Hal enjoyed riding horses, leather work, fishing, and motorcycle riding. He later married Penny (Gross) and had two sons, Keith and Daniel prior to their divorce. He is survived by his sons, Keith (Jessica) Fairchild, Daniel (Julie) Fairchild, grandchildren, Makayla, Austin, Dalton, Jordan, and Josh, brothers and sisters, Jim (Juanita) Fairchild, Scott (Amanda) Fairchild, Cindy (Mick) Atkins, Penny (Chuck) Frame, and many nieces and nephews. Special friends Mary Kay, Jeanette, Fred and Alice, Shannon, and all of the others he kept close to his heart. A special thanks to Steve Winey for his continued support. Hal was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta, Uncle Glenn, Grandma and Grandpa Watson, Grandpa Glenn and Grandma Dorothy, Ben Watson, Uncle Jack.
