Keith L. Blockhan, 48, passed way from injuries sustained in a car accident north of Bonners Ferry on Sunday June 14, 2009. Memorial will be held on Sat June 20, 2009 at 2pm at St Ann's Catholic Church. Keith Lewis Blockhan, 48, was born on September 2, 1960 in Colorado Springs, CO. to Kenneth & Barbara Blockhan. He was raised there with his one older brother Kenneth Blockhan Jr. and two younger brothers Don & Joel Blockhan. Keith attended Ute Pass Elementary in Chipita Park, CO, Sacred Heart Catholic School in Colorado Springs,CO and Manitou High School in Manitou Springs, CO. After graduation Keith moved to AZ with his older brother Ken Jr. It was here that he met his first wife Debra Stephens. Keith and Debra had a daughter Kristine Renee in Dec of 1980. They resided in Bonners Ferry until their divorce in 1982. Keith worked at Carquest on the South Hill and lived in the area raising his daughter Kristine. In the summer of 1988 Keith re-married Laurie Miles and resided with her in Sandpoint, ID. Keith and Laurie had a son, Ryan Curtis in Jan of 1989 and a daughter, Kayla Marie in April of 1990. Keith moved to the Seattle area with his brothers in the mid 90's. He resided there until winter of 2004 when he moved back to Bonners. Keith enjoyed playing pool, fishing, working on automotive projects, and hanging out with friends. Keith is survived by his father Kenneth Earle Blockhan Sr. of Bonners Ferry, ID, brothers Kenneth E. Blockhan Jr., Don (Nicole) Blockhan and Joel (Susie) Blockhan all from Seattle, WA area, daughters Kristine (Luis) R Santana of Riverside, California, and Kayla M. Blockhan of Coeur d'Alene, ID, grand daughter Neiomi R. Santana, many neices & nephews, and loving companion Candace Keith was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Blockhan, wife Laurie (Miles) Blockhan and son Ryan Curtis Blockhan Family and friends are invited to sign Keith’s book at www.bonnersferryfuneralhome.com Arrangement are entrusted to the care of Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.
