She married Harold Allenberg, Jr. on September 27, 1969. Together they had one daughter Audrey Jean. Shannon worked for Nixon and Nixon Law, Louisiana Pacific Mill and Riverside Auto before settling in at General Feed and Grain. She loved her job and the people she worked with there. She was a kind and caring person often making birthday cakes for fellow employees. It was a rare day that she didn’t greet all with a smile and a kind word. In 1998 Shannon met and fell in love with Stanley E. Snyder, they were married March 10, 2000 in the Bahamas. She loved her job and in her free time she enjoyed boat rides on Lake Ponderay with Stan and occasional ride in her little red Miata convertible. But most of all she loved quiet moments sitting by the fire with her husband Stan or riding with him in their dump truck. She loved her daughter Audrey and step-children Stacey and Stan and cherished the time she was able to spend with her grand children. She was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary 3522 of Bonners Ferry and an important part of the women’s cancer support group.
