Doris Marie Bailey

Doris Bailey went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ on January 19,2010, at the age of 97. A memorial will be held at Boundary Community Hospital Extended Care Facility on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 2:30 pm. She was born in Minneapolis on July 7, 1912 to Alice and John Claspill. In 1938, she wed Theodore Bailey and they had a son. After Ted left to serve in WW II, a daughter was born and the family was reunited in 1945. In 1967 Ted and Doris moved from the Minneapolis area to Arizona where Doris continued living after Ted's death in 1974. Doris remained in AZ. socializing with neighbors, sewing, knitting, reading and especially participating in her church, Cornerstone. One highlight of this time was a trip in 1978 to Israel with a group from her church family. In 1990, she moved into a senior apartment in Bonners Ferry, ID to be near family. She remained active and attended Community Bible Church until eventually moving to the Restorium. In 2007 she entered the ECF wing. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ted, and brother Bob. She is survived by son David (Shirley), daughter Beth (Bob Byars), grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew, Those who knew her will miss her sweet smile, but she is now rejoicing in heaven.
