Ernest Leroy Roush

Ernest LeRoy Roush (62) passed away on January 31, 2010 at the Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Ernest was born on June 20, 1947 in Colon, Panama to Ernest Roush and Grace Maria (Vitale) Grounds. Ernest was known by family and friends as Lee Roush. His mother Grace remarried Benny H. Grounds early in his childhood. Ben adopted and raised Lee as his own son. In November of 1964 he entered the US Navy where he served at Treasure Island and in Vietnam, stationed on the island of Guam. After his discharge in June of 1968 he attended Chico State University in northern California. Lee worked for Memorex and Versatron Corporation which was later purchased by General Dynamics. He worked as an Aero Space Electrical Engineer, working in Research and Development in Santa Rosa, California. He retired after 23 years with the company. He moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho in July of 2009. Throughout his life he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, boating, camping and the outdoors in general. Survivors include his wife Paula; 3 daughters Leanne, Megan, and Jessica two sons: Garrett and Scott; brother, Ben Grounds; sister, Jane Pedersen; mother Grace Grounds and granddaughter Brooke Roush.
