Douglas Franklin Belden (43) passed away on February 5, 2010 at the Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A funeral service will be held February 13, 2010 at 11:00am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Doug was born April 6, 1966 in Jerome, Idaho to Carl and Verna Belden. He lived in Shoshone, Idaho until he was four years old when his parents moved to Trinidad, Colorado. Doug then moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho where he started and completed his education. He spent 4 years in the Army serving as an MP in Germany and Fort Leavenworth. After his term in the Army he returned to Bonners Ferry. Doug worked different jobs until he could no longer work. Doug loved fishing, especially at Smith Lake, playing darts and he ran a paint ball field and games. His “internet” family was very important to him. Doug is survived by his parents, Carl and Verna of Bonners Ferry; brother Vern and wife Suzie Belden of Georgetown, Texas and sister, Tanya and husband Jim Foltz of Lewistown, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Duane Belden and sister, Nancy Belden.
