Harold Enfield (Bud) Brazier (92) passed away at his home at Brighton Court, in Spokane Valley, Washington on July 5, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00am in the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho with interment in the Grandview Cemetery. Bud was born on July 25, 1917 in Brainard, Minnesota to William E. and Altamae (Enfield) Brazier. He spent his early school years in Spokane, Washington and moved at an early age to Bonners Ferry, Idaho where he worked with his father, Bill. Bud served in WWII as a Sergeant in the US Army from September 11, 1940 until discharge on June 27, 1945. On July 20, 1944 he Married Barbara Rae Egan in Bonners Ferry, Idaho He worked as the Manager of the American Legion Club in Bonners Ferry where he sang in Local shows and for funerals and weddings. Bud also worked for Bonners Ferry Lumber Company as a Check Scaler and later retired from Pack River Lumber Company. Throughout his life Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing games and cards with family and friends. He was a master of backyard BBQ’s especially prime Rib and spent many hours camping, traveling to various campsites in the Pacific NW. They sold their home and moved into Spokane, WA where they lived with their daughter and have spent the last 5 years at Brighton Court an Assisted Living complex. Their home was always open to everyone! Survivors include his wife Rae Brazier of Spokane Vallely, WA, two daughters Candee A. Freeman of Spokane, WA; Julie S. Cook and husband Gary of Coeur d’Alene, ID, grandchildren Christopher J Freeman of Spokane, WA; Waco J. Freeman of Spokane, WA; Deborah J Freeman of Bonners Ferry, ID, Leslie A Shelton and husband Paul of Bonners Ferry, Id; Lori L. Hill and husband Pete of Rathdrum, ID and Lisa R. Cook of Bonners Ferry, ID and 8 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church, American Legion Post #55, or the Community Restorium.
