Frances Marie Hodsdon (66) passed away on August 30, 2010 at the Boundary County Nursing Home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Private interment was held in the Grandview Cemetery.
Fran was born on December 7, 1943 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Gene Fred and Helen Lucille (Mesenbrink) Hodsdon. She attended Southside, Valley View, and Bonners Ferry High School where she a member of Honorary Society in her Junior and Senior years. She was Senior Class Treasurer and participated in the Badgerettes and graduated in the top 10% of her class.
Fran worked at Marge’s Café on Main Street and the Beauty Nook. She married Michael LaBrosse in 1963 and her son A.J. was born to this union. In the 1970’s Fran and A.J. moved to Emmett, Idaho where they resided for several years. Fran, A.J. and Fran’s mother Helen Garver, returned to Bonners Ferry where Fran worked at the Panhandle Restaurant and later worked for many years a cashier at Bargain Giant and Boundary Trading Company.
Fran will be remembered for her great smile, infectious laugh, her caring for others, her quick wit, great sense of humor and her ability to tell jokes. Fran was gifted in art, music and writing.
Fran is survived by her companion, Tom White of Moyie Springs, ID; Son A.J. Labrosse and wife Shelia, sisters Mary Gunics and husband Joe ; Carol Jean Ostling and husband Bob, brothers Joe Hodsdon and Charlie Meeker and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends, especially life long friend Dixie Peterson Miller
