Blanche Elaine Boatman

Elaine Boatman (89) passed away at Ace Elder Care in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on November 4, 2010. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Free Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho with private interment in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho. B. Elaine Boatman was born July 3, 1921 at Grenola, Chautauqua County, Kansas to Clarence M. and Buena V. Witt. Her grade school education was in Kansas but in 1937 she came to Gooding, Idaho with her parents and graduated from Gooding High School in 1940. On September 29, 1941 Elaine married Clarence H. Boatman in Gooding, ID They lived at various places in Southern Idaho including Mountain Home where both worked at the Air Base, before moving to Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1958 where they had a farm in Paradise Valley. She was a home maker and belonged to the Extension Club. She joined the Paradise Valley Grange in 1961 and was a Pomona member as well as State and National Degree member. She held many of the offices in the Paradise Valley Grange. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and traveling. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Elaine leaves two sons Larry Boatman of Bonners Ferry, ID and Michael Boatman of Las Vegas, NV; three granddaughters Carly in Alabama, Malia and Emily both of Spokane, nieces and nephews and cousins plus her friends.
