Ruth Eileen Church

Ruth Church passed away at her home on November 10, 2010. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Free Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho with private interment in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Ruth was born as Ruth Eileen Turner on June 2, 1940 in Kalispell Montana. She married John Church in 1959 and after moving to various places in the Northwest, settled in Moyie Springs in 1968. After divorcing in 1975, she spent her remaining working years at various jobs to raise their four children without outside assistance. Ruth enjoyed picking huckleberries with friends and working on her property in Moyie Springs. She liked to raise a vegetable garden and can the produce, make cakes for special occasions and quilt. Spending time with family hiking, fishing and attending activities for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren also gave her great joy. She always did her most to make birthdays and holidays extra special. Ruth was preceded in death by a step-brother, George Turner of Kalispell, MT; brother, Fred Turner of Kalispell, MT, son, Stanley Church of Moyie Springs, ID, her mother and father, Helen and Redford Turner of Kalispell, MT. Ruth is survived by her children Kevin Church of Naples, ID, Beverly Drury of Hermiston OR and Lyla (and husband Brian Worley) of Philomath OR. Ruth is also survived by her brother Dutch Turner, a sister, Shirley Brown and two half brothers Alden and Wayne Turner all of Kalispell, MT. She leaves six greatly loved grandchildren and three great-grand children.
