Cassandra Marie Spencer
December 6, 1984 — September 18, 2022
Cassandra Marie Spencer, born December 6, 1984, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2022, at the age of 37. She was a 2003 graduate of Cedar Vale High School in Kansas, where she was raised by Tina and Craig Layton.
Cassie had compassion and a passion for taking care of others, which drove her to get her first job as a CNA at sixteen. She would remain in the medical field most of her life, stopping only to be a homemaker for her husband and children.
On November 11, 2004 Cassie married her high school sweetheart, Jason Spencer. In 2005 they moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho where they started their family.
Cassie is survived by her husband and their children Cason and Jaycie, her parents; Tina Simmons, Craig Layton, and Rick Hoffman, her siblings; CJ Layton and his wife Sara, Christine Carr and her husband Craig, and her sisters Emily Brewer, Susan Hoffman, and Crystal Hoffman. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:00 am.
