Deanna Bitton Spurgeon

DeAnna was born in Ogden Utah on September 19, 1947, to parents David LaVor Bitton and Iona Bullock Bitton. She and her family moved to Priest River in 1957, where most of her family still live.

She married Jerry Lee James September 5th, 1964. They were blessed with daughters Brenda and Kathleen (stillborn) and son Jeremy. DeAnna and Jerry divorced in 1977.

DeAnna’s work career consisted of 36 years of banking. During that time, she met Charlie and they were married February 19, 1994, in Bonners Ferry.

They moved to Moscow, ID, when DeAnna retired in 2006. They spent 13 years there enjoying all the sights and sounds of a college town. She said being around all those students kept her young.

In 2019 they moved to Bonners Ferry. She and Charlie both have brothers living here. They both have had many wonderful times together with their brothers.

DeAnna is survived by husband Charlie, daughter Brenda, son Jeremy, brother David and brother Keith (wife Shirley), numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
