On June 14, 2020, heaven welcomed back a beautiful spirit. A devoted wife, mother, and friend, Diane L. Ott-McKee, born March 22, 1946, passed with family at her side in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho at 74 years of age. She lost her battle fighting Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer and Heart issues. Diane was the first born to Carlene England (Brademeyer, maiden) and Dean England in Long Beach, California. As the family grew she became the older sister to two younger sisters and one younger brother, Peggy, Greg, and Suzanne. Diane grew up in Provo, Utah, active and dedicated to her church, faith, family, sports, music, and the outdoors. Diane graduated from Provo High School in 1964. She moved to California to attend the Institute of Religion. There she met Larry Ott and was married to him on September 14, 1968 in Newhall, California in the Newhall-Saugus at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Diane loved children and desired to have many of her own. She was blessed with 4 children; three girls and one boy! She is served by all 4 children and spouses; Michele & Damon Severson of Bonners Ferry, ID. Heather & Brian Chatterton of Post Falls, ID. Douglas Ott of West Yellowstone, MT and Crystal & Jessie Dyer of Spanaway, WA Diane raised her family in Palmdale, California while owning and working in the family ran business, Desert Florist and Gift Shop, serving her church and community and being a full time mother, always striving to be there for and enriching her family and community. She was indeed a devoted mother, those who knew her, knew this well. Diane moved to Harrison, Idaho in 1994 to continue to raise her children in the country she loved. In 1996, she became a grandmother for the first time. She now has 9 grandchildren with one on the way, due this September and 1 great grandchild. Diane and Larry Ott divorced in 1999. She stayed in Harrison, Idaho till all her kids finished school. Diane found her love of her life and remarried to Monte McKee on January 9, 2015 in Saint Maries, Idaho at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They lived happily together at Monte's family home in St. Maries, Idaho. Diane moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 2019 after her beloved husband Monte passed in 2015. She wanted to be closer to her family and oldest daughter in Bonners Ferry. Diane feel in love with Bonners Ferry area it reminded her of Utah where she grew up. She loved her family and her church family dearly. Diane will be dearly missed, but her family rejoices knowing that she is reunited with her mother, father, sister, husband Monte, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and Heavenly Father. We know she will always be with us and us with her. Please join us in a celebration of Diane and her memory at Bonners Ferry Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel on August 1, 2020 at 2 pm unless otherwise announced due to COVID-19.
