Remembering the life of Don Johnson!!!
Don was born in Washington on February 5, 1960. He went home to be with our Lord Jesus on October 25, 2022. Don was married to Dani Johnson and was a loving father to Krystal Sparks, Robbie Croy, Alan Arnson and Shawn Johnson.
Don loved to go camping and hiking with family and friends. Don was a phenomenal cook and very much enjoyed BBQ. Don also enjoyed taking road trips and vacations to Disneyland. The man was obsessed with Disneyland.
Don has had several occupations but his favorites were the restaurant he owned (The Apple Valley Inn) in Omak, Washington which he was quite proud of and his 20 years with Yoke’s Grocery Store. He made many longtime friends at both places.
Don is survived by his wife Dani and his children Krystal, Robbie, Alan and Shawn as well as by his mom Shannon Johnson, his sisters Suzie Johnson and Kathy Kelsh Swarner and his sister-in-law Shelly Johnson. Don is preceded in death by his dad Francis, his brother Brett and his brother Eric.
Don’s memorial service will be held from 1-4pm Saturday, November 12 th at the Eagles Lodge located at 1511 John Hudon Lane Sandpoint, ID. There will be food after the service.
From Don’s wife Dani:
My Don was one of kind. We met online 20 years ago. We hit it off instantly and have barely been apart since. Conversation came so easy and he made me laugh all the time. My kids Krystal and Robbie loved him right off the bat. We were a goofy, silly, never take life too seriously kind of family. We were always teasing and giving each other a hard time and wouldn’t have had it any other way. We had a lot of fun and the memoires we’ve shared through out the years will last us the rest of our lifetimes. Don took good care of us and spoiled us pretty rotten. We never wanted for anything. He worked hard for us as a family and made us laugh as a family even harder.
His friends all found him to be as hilarious as we do. The Don “isms” as we have come to refer to them as, (because no one does it quite like Don) have become part of us all. Those who knew him well know exactly what I’m talking about. No explanation required. I know that all who knew him also found him to be one of a kind, irreplaceable!
His life was a blessing,
His memory a treasure,
He is loved beyond words,
And missed beyond measure!!!
Luke 23:43
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
No more suffering my Don Don!! See ya in a while.<3
