Mr. and Mrs. Earl Metier passed away November 19, 2020. Terry preceded Earl in death by 12 hours. A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Chic and Chop reserved for 2pm on May 14, 2021. Theresa Steffina Pribesh was born October 15, 1940, in Allegheny, PA to Steven and Stella Pribesh. Terry is Survived by two bothers and a sister-in-law, and step-son, Danny Sanchez and extended family. Earl William Metier was born April 17, 1950, in Livingston, Montana, to Tom and Wilma Metier. Earl is survived by two sons, Kevin, in New York, Kory (Jennifer) and grandson Eli, in Anchorage, AK; two sisters; Sheila (Leon) Brown, Deer Park, WA, Robyn (Art) Bews, Priest River, ID; extended family includes cousins, nieces and nephews. Terry moved to Alaska when she was 18 years old. She worked for the State of Alaska, retiring there. Earl grew up in Wisall, MT, until the age of 19, enlisting in the US Navy. He spent 21 years serving his country. His tour of duties included basic training and Hospital Corps School in And Diego, CA; a tour in Vietnam, Guam, U>S> A. David R. Ray Destroyer, and several state side assignments, Earl graduated from George Washington University with his Physician’s Assistant Degree. He also earned several other Bachelor of Science Degrees and two Masters Degrees while in the Navy. Earl earned several awards while in the Navy- Navy Expeditionary Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 2 stars, among other ribbons. Earl retired in 1990 as a Master Chief Petty Officer. After retiring, Earl spent time in Butte, MT, going to school. He then worked for several oil companies in Corpus Christi, TX, and in Alaska. He retired from the State of Alaska. Earl and Terry were married April 22, 2005 in Wasilla, AK. They lived there until moving to Bonners Ferry, ID in 2015. They looked forward to Attending Earl’s class reunions in Montana; scoping out the local auctions and garage sales. Earl’s hobbies included woodworking; Terry’s included quilting and they both enjoyed building and creating more yard space around their house. Earl and Terry are truly missed by family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
