Hazel Bolding Eby passed away peacefully on September 4, 2021 in her home of natural causes surrounded by her family. She was born on July 9, 1928 in Spokane, Washington the daughter of Oscar and Oneita Sterling Stemple.

Hazel lived a full life and had many accomplishments. She moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho with her husband Bill Bolding and bought the KOA Lantern in 1970. They opened a restaurant in Sandpoint called El Toro. They purchased the Gold Bar Lodge and she proceeded to race, raise and train horses. She was a recognized and accomplished painter, 4H leader. She was active in sports and got her pilots license at 70, survived a bout with cancer as well as COVID. She had numerous other amazing accomplishments, she lived life on her own terms, she was a force to be reckoned with, she shared her faith openly and enthusiastically, life was no brief candle to Hazel. She let her torch burn brightly so she could pass it down to her future generations.

Hazel is proceeded in death by her husband Bill Bolding, daughter Marilyn Boyenger, great grandson Kelly Carkuff, son in law Rodger Bennifield, son in law Wes Boyenger, and second husband Larry Eby. Hazel is survived by son Jim Bolding of Spokane, WA, daughter Dianna Brooks of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Daughter Melody Benifield of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, as well as 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She truly left a legacy.

Memorial Services will be held on September 18, 2021 at Mountain Springs Church at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest that the Grandview Cemetery.
