Kristie Jean (Aamodt) Ryder, 68, of Moyie Springs, Idaho passed away on June 25, 2023 at home with her family by her side. She was born on March 12, 1955 to Arthur and Joyce (Harding) Aamodt in Ruby, North Dakota. Soon after she and her family moved to Kellogg, Idaho in 1956 where she grew up and graduated from Kellogg High School in 1973. This year is her 50th year reunion.

Kristie loved animals especially her dog, Snickers, and cat, Bear. She loved caring for the elderly becoming a CNA and was employed at Boundary Community Hospital. She made a lot of friends who were her coworkers. She cared for her residents as if they were her own family. Kristie was loved by many; she had a heart of gold. She was an honest, caring, loving mother and grandma.

Kristie loved her two daughters, Renee (Dan) Pruitt, with her three boys, Mathew (Chloe), Mikael (Hannah), and Mason (Briana) Merrifield; daughter, Julie (Mya) Bradley with her four kids, Zackery (Becca) Bradley and their children, Amelia and Terryn, Jesse (Ashley) and their children, Cali and Skylar, as well as her six great grand babies. Her brothers, Randy (Lind) Aamodt, Donny (Karen) Aamodt, and Wes Aamodt, as well as her sister, Linda (Albert) Cummings, and numerous nieces and nephews all of Kellogg, Idaho.

Kristie’s two daughters were the light of her life. She enjoyed shopping and drives with Julie and sitting on the swing with Renee in the garden.

Pastor Nevin Neal will be attending the Celebration of Life which will be held in the garden along with a potluck at Renee’s home on Maas Loop (90 Winchester Loop, Bonners Ferry) on July 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm,   everyone is welcome, bring a chair and BYOB.
