Mickey Lee Marble, age 77, of Naples, Idaho passed away at home December 7, 2021.

He was the youngest of seven children born to Harry Enoch Marble and Gertrude Rose (Rubbert) Marble.

Mickey was born on a cold January morning at home in Rankin, Michigan.

When only a toddler the family moved to Lennon, Michigan. That is where he grew up into a strong man on the family dairy farm. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and FFA.

Mickey graduated from Owosso High School, Owosso, Michigan, and was a tin smith when he was drafted into the United States Army. Training with the 82 nd Airborne, Mickey was deployed with his service brothers of the 173 rd Airborne to Vietnam.

After returning home he found a job as a railroad switchman and large equipment operator. Mickey was right at home as a millwright or anything else that involved turning a wrench or two.

Mickey enjoyed muscle cars, motorcycles, target shooting, hunting, fishing, and clamming. When he got where he couldn’t walk on the uneven ground to hunt, Mickey turned to raising pheasants, peacocks, and other fowl. But that got to be to hard on him. Mickey requested the family put food out to draw the wildlife in so he could watch them out his window.

In late summer of 1971, Mickey was introduced to a young woman named, Sally. The two of them hit it off. The following year he asked her to marry him. Many of his friends and family told him not to because of the age difference. Mickey and Sally Wilson were married April 1973. They stayed by each other’s sides until God called Mickey home.

Mickey lived a full life with his wife, Sally, and six children. Other family and friends can be found all across the United States.

Mickey leaves behind his wife, Sally (Wilson) Marble and his six children, daughter Malinea (David) McCuenn of Oregon, his five sons, Jessee (Lori) Marble of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Travis, Jeremy, and Luke Marble of Naples, Idaho, and his youngest son, Shane (Marie) Marble of Priest River, Idaho. He also leaves ten grandchildren and two great-grand children, along with two sisters, Marion (Calvin) Wardie of Fenton, Michigan, and Wilma (Louis) Young of Michigan. The loved ones who preceded Mickey in death were his parents, Harry and Gertrude (Rubbert) Marble, two brothers, Max and Kim Marble, two sisters, Bernita (Marble) Bowden all of Lennon, Michigan, and his sister Carolyn Marble of Bert, Michigan.

May you rest in peace Mickey. You will always be loved and missed.
