It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Copeland. Robert Allen Copeland was born May 22, 1974 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Roy and Sandy Copeland. Bobby attended Boundary County Schools through his junior year of high school. Bob got his GED in 1994 and joined the Navy. Bob proudly served for 3 years.

He came home and worked locally for Charlie Kramer, Panhandle Door and Drawer and EL Internet. Bob worked with Roy at Copeland Repair and recently the two of them have been working Roy’s little saw mill turning out beams and boards. Bob’s marriage to Shan Tien Randles produced a wonderful relationship for Bob and Shan Tien’s son Kelly. Bob has recently found love with Maygen Reid and has also formed a bond with her son Isaiah. Bob was a great father figure. Bob celebrated 11 years of sobriety in November 2024. He was extremely proud of his sobriety and through his sobriety developed lifelong friendships. He played bass in a worship band and loved the music and the chance to witness to others his faith and his sobriety.

The true legacy that Bob leaves to us is kindness and honesty. Bob always had a smile on his face and was the kindest man you would ever hope to know. He was an honest trustworthy man that people went to for advice. He loved being barefoot. Bob was just Bob. He was real. He greeted you and you knew he was truly happy to see you. He was a hugger. Bob gave great hugs. To know Bob was to love him. Boy Howdy, he will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to experience the joy that was Bob Copeland.

Bob is survived by his partner Maygen Reid, her son Isaiah and daughter Stetson, father Roy and Fang Copeland, sister Molly and Leon Brown, brother Jimmy Brooks numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Sandy Copeland.

A Celebration of Bob’s life is tentatively planned for May 24th at the Pavilion at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.
