Steven S. Russell

Steven Swetoslaw Russell was born September 27, 1946, in Dairen, China. He went home to be with the Lord August 16, 2021. He had an international upbringing having had the privilege of moving all over the world. He and his wife, Nancy, moved to Bonners Ferry in 2006 and have been integral part of the community. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force. Steve served in several strategic operations for the Air Force and the Department of Defense securing our nations interest and security. Steve retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1989. He received a Master of Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York and a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico. Steve loved the outdoors; he loved skiing, hiking, mountain climbing, and most of all biking.

Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved his friends and was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Steve had a kind and loving heart, a soft voice and open arms ready to hug.

Steve will be missed by his wife Nancy, his son Sean, grandchildren, Alice, Elliot, Annabell, and Emmett and siblings, Mila, Tina and Shirley.
