Troy Armstrong

Troy Armstrong was born in Portland, Oregon on July 14th, 1965. He was the son of Norman Wayne Armstrong & Lala Mae Shirley. He was the 1st born of three children. Troy traveled throughout Oregon, Washington, Arizona and New York with his family due to his Parents Jobs. He later Married and divorced then remarried Karla Armstrong (Hays) on November 14th, 1998 in Portland Oregon. They then settled in Kennewick, Washington. Troy had two sons from a previous marriage and Karla had three daughters from a previous marriage. They then had Tyler (Tiny) Armstrong on September 17th, 1998 to join their family together. They liked to call themselves the "Brady Bunch" Troy was an outstanding father to not only his boys, but to Karla's girls as well. Taking them in as his own and sharing them with their Dad. There wasn't a thing in this world that Troy couldn't barbeque. He was also the designated Stuffing maker every Thanksgiving. He loved music, playing the guitar and karaoke with his family. Date nights at home with Karla consisted of singing together, getting a coffee or watching movies. He was a very simple man that found the greatest riches from the great outdoors hunting & fishing. Troy's passion was being a truck driver. There wasn't a truck that Troy couldn't drive. He drove Chip trucks, dump trucks, container trucks pulling triple trailers throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Canada. In April of 2020, Troy got a job with Wes Olson trucking driving Log truck and Troy, Karla and Tyler moved to Naples, Idaho to live their dream of living in a small log cabin in the woods. On June 30th, 2020, Troy passed away on Highway 95 in a trucking accident. Troy was preceded in death by his Dad, Norman Wayne Armstrong; Uncle, Keith JR Armstrong: Grandfather, Keith Armstrong, Nephew, Joseph Armstrong and Father in law, Dennis Townsend.. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Karla Armstrong (Hays); His Mother, Lala Shirley, His children: Nicky Cravens (Marcos Escobar), Michael Armstrong, Courtney Stanley (Brad Stanley), Anthony Armstrong, Kira Cravens (Dillion Spears) and Tyler (Tiny) Armstrong. His Sister: Tonya Maxon (Estacada), Brother, Tim Armstrong (Laura Armstrong): His Grandchildren, Joseph Escobar, Analie Cravens and Trey Stanley. His Brother in laws, Khris Townsend, Nick Berg, Chuck Berg, Kacey Townsend & Scott Mathews (often called brother from another mother) and sister in laws (sister from another mister) Kerri Mathews, Carolyn Hays, Jennifer Hays & Mikaela Thompson (Garett Thompson). Father in law, Harold (Rusty) Hays (Jann Hays) & Mother in law Georgia King (Brock) (Craig King) & Patti Townsend and Several neices & nephews that were so very close to him. There wasn't a child out there that he didn't take in as his own. Dear Dad, I thought of you today, but that is nothing new, I thought about you yesterday and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and your picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part. God has you in his arms, I have you in my heart.
