Chad Workman grew up in Sweet Home, Oregon, where he was able to help at his father’s funeral home from an early age. He graduated from Sweet Home High School, after which he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Guatemala, which also provided him the opportunity to learn Spanish.
Upon returning from his mission, he married his wife, Abbi, in 2007, and attended BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, where he earned a degree in Biology. He returned to Oregon to begin his journey in full-time funeral directing, attending Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham. After graduating, Chad and his family moved to Yakima, Washington, and worked for Brookside Funeral Home & Crematory, where he continued to learn how best to serve those experiencing loss and grief.
In July of 2021, Chad and his family moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, as the new owners of Bonners Ferry Funeral Home to carry on the decades-long legacy of aiding the people of the community. Chad has a servant’s heart and strives to help families in their time of need in meaningful ways. He finds supporting families during difficult times—and building lasting relationships with them—deeply rewarding.
When not assisting families, Chad enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and barbequing.
